Becker Boy to Donate Bone Marrow to Sister Sick with Leukemia

A Becker, Minnesota, couple is days away from taking their 2-year-old daughter, Ava, to have a bone marrow transplant.

The little girl has a rare form of leukemia. Her bone marrow donor is making this situation even more emotional for the family of four.

"I'm going to give her cells and make her better," said T.J. Oeding, Ava's 5-year-old brother.

Fitch Jurors Watch Video From Officer Shooting

Jurors watched video of a Mendota Heights police officer being shot on the first day of the trial of Brian Fitch Sr.

Fitch is accused of the July 30 shooting of officer Scott Patrick in West St. Paul. The trial is in St. Cloud because of pre-trial publicity.

SCSU Study Shows Better Job Market for Minn. College Graduates

College graduates in Minnesota are expected to see more opportunities for employment this year.

A new study conducted by St. Cloud University asked 103 employers about hiring in 2015.

More than 50 percent of employers surveyed plan to increase their hiring, which is up from 35.9 percent in 2014. This is the largest increase since 2007.

Opening Statements Delayed Because of New Evidence in Brian Fitch Sr. Murder Trial

Opening statements in the trial of Brian Fitch Sr., who is accused of fatally shooting a Mendota Heights police officer, will start Thursday.

That's two days later than planned. The trial was delayed Tuesday morning for two reasons.

Wild Defenseman Ryan Suter Suspended Two Games

Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter was suspended for two games by the NHL for elbowing Pittsburgh Penguins forward Steve Downie on Tuesday.

Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and based on his average annual salary, Suter will forfeit $81,058.72. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Wild Acquire Goalie Devan Dubnyk from Arizona in Exchange for Draft Pick

The Wild have traded a third round draft pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft to Arizona for back-up goalie Devan Dubnyk. Dubnyk will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

In 19 games this year, he has a .916 save percentage. That's better than both Niklas Backstrom and Darcy Kuemper.

Minnesota in 2014 Had Second Fewest Traffic Deaths Since 1944

The number of traffic deaths in Minnesota last year was at the second lowest level since 1944, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety said Wednesday.
